We are now looking for a support assistant for a permanent position.

Job Responsibilities

Together with the unit manager, operations leader, support pedagogue, and colleagues, you will work as a support assistant in accordance with the goals and guidelines established for the operations. You should have good collaboration skills, be attentive and unpretentious, and understand the importance of shared understanding regarding the individual, where we succeed as a group while still performing independent tasks.

You will provide support in each individual's daily life based on their needs through clear pedagogical methods, AAC, and work in accordance with existing implementation plans and routines. We operate based on low-arousal responses. Support may involve all aspects of life, such as communication, interaction, cooking, showering, laundry, cleaning, and various activities, etc. Internal and external collaboration around the individual is part of the work, which requires good collaboration skills and adherence to existing routines. It is included to establish social documentation and implementation plans, and we place great importance on good cooperation with relatives, as well as representatives and other professionals involved in the assignment.

Environmental monitoring, mapping, evidence-based methods, and follow-ups are part of the work.

You will participate in activities such as swimming, walking, and so on.

The job also includes working in the neighboring house at Ankargatan 2 or Ankargatan 4 as needed.

Qualifications

You should have experience working with and knowledge of individuals with intellectual and/or mental disabilities as well as individuals on the autism spectrum. Clear pedagogical methods and AAC are required. We expect you to have a positive view of people, be flexible and attentive, and have the ability to work both independently and in a group.

Experience in psychiatry and familiarity with challenging behavior is preferred.

You have patience and can adapt your responses and communication based on the individual's needs, understanding the importance of details and being proactive. You have knowledge of communicating with relatives and other actors in daily life.

You have good skills in writing social documentation; the work may involve taking on the role of contact person.

You should have completed the Care and Nursing Program, the Child and Leisure Program with a focus on social activities, or another education that the employer finds equivalent. Scheduled working hours, which means day, evening, and weekend shifts.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.

Requirement for a B driver's license, that you actively drive a car, and are accustomed to cycling.
